  • What’s the first thing you want to know about a client when you meet them?
I always ask if they have children. This is imperative when we are designing a pool for customers with small kids so that we not only take their safety in mind but also the lifestyle that goes along with it to enhance their backyard to accommodate them
  • If you had to describe your design style in three words, what would they be?

Customers’ own vision. Important to listen to customers and what THEY want versus what a Designer “thinks” they should do. It’s their pool.

  • What’s the most common mistake you see homeowners make when planning a new pool?
Many customers will cut costs in areas that really are the most important. The major one is in the amount of decking that goes around the pool. It’s important to design enough decking for safety reasons and also traffic areas to the pool and around the pool
