QUALIFICATIONS TO ASK FOR WHEN CHOOSING A POOL BUILDER

Not all pool builders are equal. And a poorly built pool will result in years of expensive maintenance in repairs, so it’s best to find the right builder from the beginning.

We, of course, hope that you give Presidential Pools a chance to earn your business, but the qualifications below are always applicable:

Bonded and Insured

First and foremost, a credible builder should be bonded and insured. Pool building is construction work, and needs to be treated as such.

Testimonials and Portfolio of Work

A pool is an investment, and you don’t want to be anyone’s guinea pig. A builder should be able to provide testimonials and referrals upon request, and should be able to support the design plan for your pool with examples of their previous work.

Certification from The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals

APSP is the industry’s governing body and its certification program demands expertise. A builder that can say they are APSP Certified means that they are meeting or exceeding the safety, professionalism and quality standards set by industry leaders. Certifications from other industry bodies provide additional assurance that a builder has been well-vetted.

Detailed Estimates and Plans

Constructing a pool requires consideration of many elements, from the materials that will be used to build it to the machines that will keep it operating safely. Estimates and plans you receive should provide detail on the functionality and technologies included in your plan.
